Choosing the Best Look for You on Your Special Day

Song of Solomon 4:9 You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride; you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace

Proverbs 31:10 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.

For every woman finding the Perfect look for that special day is of utter importance.  Weather  you be a bride or a young lady attending prom; you dream of being the belle of the ball.  The first step in achieving your perfect look is to choose a dress.  Once you have chosen a dress you can start to decide which hairstyle is best for you.

The strapless dress is by far the most popular choice and gives you the most versatility when choosing a look for your special day.  You can wear your hair down, half up or all the way up.  Wearing your hair completely down; loose wavy curls and mega volume is on trend this season.  You can opt for bold or classic makeup
When wearing a dress that has any sort of sleeve or a dress that is heavily embellished it is best to wear your hair up.  Otherwise the look can become a little chaotic.  This style is usually a little more traditional and very classic chic.  With a look like this I love a bold red lip.

Asymmetrical dresses are a very modern fashionable style.  When choosing a dress such as this you can opt to have an asymmetrical updo as well, or I would recommend hair all the way up.  Asymmetrical updos are the most popular way to wear your hair this year other than hair completely down.

Now that you have chosen your dress, and have a better idea of what hair styles will work for your dress, down, all up or half up, you can start to put together your look.  Lets start by determining your face shape:

Oval is the "ideal" face shape, so you want to make sure your style helps you achieve the illusion of having an oval shaped face.  All face shapes can wear their hair down, half up or all up, it's just finding what you need to incorporate into your do to create that oval.

Carrie Underwood is an example of an oval shaped face.  If you have an oval shaped face, you cannot really go wrong when choosing a style because it is already ideal.  What style is your dress? Take a look back and see what is recommended for you dress style to help you determine your hair style.  Volume is not needed for those who already have an oval face shape.

Are you a rectangular face shape like Jessica Simpson? If so, when choosing an updo for you, you are going to want to make sure you leave some hair down around your face  or at your temple to help round out your look, and not too much volume up top.  As your look is already elongated.

For round faces like Kelly Clarkson height and volume are key.  Having your hair pulled tight on the sides near your temples also helps to draw the face in giving the perfect oval.
Paris Hilton Hair

A square face, similar to that of a rectangle, only you are going to want the volume and height up to to help elongate your face shape.  Looser still by the temple to help round out your look like Paris Hilton seen here.
Jennifer Love Hewitt is a classic heart shape.  Having hair down around your face helps to off set a narrow jaw and create the look of the oval

The Triangular face shape can be confused with the heart.  And they would be the same if you thought of the heart as an upside down triangle.  The difference between the the two is that the triangular face shape is a right side up triangle which means you are widest at the jaw and narrower up top.  The heart is opposite.  Leona Lewis shows a perfect way to give the triangle an oval illusion here by creating volume from ear to ear off setting a wide jaw.

Hopefully now with your dress picked out and face shape determined you have picked out the perfect updo for you!

Remember that these tips are also relevant in choosing the everyday hairstyle for yourself now that you know what looks best for your face shape.

Fitness Tip of the day:

Is any one time of day the best time to exercise?

The truth is that there's no reliable evidence to suggest that calories are burned more efficiently at certain times of day. But the time of day can influence how you feel when exercising. The most important thing, experts say, is to choose a time of day you can stick with, so that exercise becomes a habit.

Your body's circadian rhythm determines whether you're a night owl or an early bird, and there's not much you can do to alter it.
Circadian rhythm is governed by the 24-hour pattern of the earth’s rotation. These rhythms influence body functions such as blood pressure, body temperature, hormone levels, and heart rate, all of which play a role in your body's readiness for exercise.
Using your body clock as a guide to when to go for a walk or hit the gym might seem like a good idea. But, of course, there are other important considerations, such as family and work schedules, or a friend's availability to walk with you
If you have trouble with consistency, morning may be your best time to exercise, experts say.
